Our product has an API from which per second data collected from dump trucks working in a mine can be accessed. The API produces a table with data captured per second for each truck for each shift worked.
I will provide a document specifying how to interact with the API.
I would like to know the state that a machine is in during a shift. A machine can be in three states.
- Machine is Off
- Machine is on but stationary
- Machine is on and moving
Using this data, I need a table with the following structure to be populated per truck per shift. The script should export each table per truck per shift as a csv that I can send to my client on a daily basis.
Machine ID | ShiftID | Interval Start | Interval Stop | Machine On/Off | Machine Moving/Stationary
Truck 1 | 201903240 6:00 6:45 Off n/a
Truck 1 | 201903240 6:45 6:52 On Stationary
Truck 1 | 201903240 6:52 7:18 On Moving
Truck 1 | 201903240 7:18 7:25 On Stationary
We can assume that a machine is on when the value in the engine speed column is greater than zero (and not equal to not applicable).
The analysis should be done using Python and Pandas preferably in a Jupyter notebook so I can follow along.

I work with Python, Pandas and Jupyter Notebook on a daily basis. Creating the data structures you need and exporting the associated data to CSV file should not be a problem once the interface to the API is known. Yo Plus
