problem with custom filter in android

i have a grid view that is showing data. when you press on any of the title it will open a pdf file. I have a search function and it is working as expected except that when i search and press on any of the file it always open the first item in the list but not the one that matches the item i expect to open. So basically i have a grid view and i want when i search for something and press on it. It should open the pdf file that i am expecting to open.
** 1 milestone will be created and released only after i get the source code and test it**
