Magento Tech Lead Interview Assistance

Project Description: We are a growing company operating on Magento 2.4 Community Edition (CE) and are in the process of building an internal development team to replace our external agency. We are seeking an experienced Magento expert to assist us by conducting technical interviews for our first key hire: a Lead Magento Developer or Magento Technical Lead. Responsibilities: • Develop Technical Interview Materials: • Create a set of technical questions and practical tasks relevant to Magento 2.4 CE. • Design assessments that evaluate candidates’ proficiency in Magento module development, theme customization, performance optimization, and other critical areas. • Conduct Technical Interviews: • Interview shortlisted candidates via video conferencing platforms. • Administer practical tests on a live, vanilla Magento 2.4 CE instance to assess candidates’ hands-on skills. • Evaluate candidates’ problem-solving abilities, coding standards, and understanding of Magento architecture. • Provide Comprehensive Evaluation: • Prepare detailed reports on each candidate’s technical competencies. • Offer recommendations based on the assessments to aid in the hiring decision. Qualifications: • Extensive Experience with Magento: • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience with Magento, particularly version 2.4 CE. • Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies. • Proven Interviewing Skills: • Prior experience conducting technical interviews or assessments. • Ability to formulate relevant technical questions and practical tasks. • Excellent Communication: • Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively. • Professionalism and Confidentiality: • Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Project Requirements: • Timeline: We aim to start the interviewing process within the next two weeks. • Availability: Must be available to conduct interviews during our business hours 9:00AM-6:00PM (UTC/GMT -5 hours). • Deliverables: • A set of technical interview questions and practical tasks. • Detailed evaluation reports for each interviewed candidate.
