I'm looking to convert my existing porch into a basic finish bath/laundry. The foundation is stone, so it's sturdy. The job primarily involves: only needing sign off for thr header Across the joist that are to be doubled with 2x12. This is a crawl space about 3 feet. Header to be 8 inches from foundation. Wanting to use 3 /7inch lams with lallys. In 1foot from each end and 1 in middle. Room size is. 12 ftlong and 8 ft wide. 3 sides and attached on 1 /12 ft dimension to [login to view URL] need this for building inspector. Can u help me? - Installing a microlam header across the floor joists, approximately 16 inches in from foundation - Placing 3 lally columns as safety beams (not meant to bear any weight) I require the following: - Simple subfloor installation as the flooring - Addition of plumbing lines (no electrical work needed) no plumbing just underpinning Ideal candidates for this project should have relevant experience in home renovations, particularly in converting spaces into functional rooms. Knowledge in working with microlam headers and lally columns is a plus. Please provide examples of similar projects you've completed in your application. The bathroom and laundry area should use basic tile for a simple and clean finish.
