Wins Daytona 500 Pole Logano won the pole for the Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway Wednesday night. He turned a fast lap of 181.947 mph.
Impact The Penske Racing star was one of only a couple Ford drivers to advance to the final round of single-lap qualifying. However, he would rise to the occasion. Logano would beat out Michael McDowell with a lap of close to 182 mph to grab the pole position. It was his first Daytona 500 pole and 29th-career pole position. Logano will be a top contender to win Sunday's Great American Race.
