Has to settle for T5 in Abu Dhabi Molinari struggled to a one-under 71 in the final round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship to finish in a share of fifth place. Impact Molinari held a share of the 54-hole lead, but just could not get anything going on Sunday. He had a pretty solid ball-striking day, but the putts just didn't fall as he made 10 straight pars before a closing birdie at 18 to finish top-five. It's been a steady fall from grace for the 2018 Open Champion, as this is his best finish anywhere since that 2019 Masters where he was also unable to convert the 54-hole lead. Molinari is now 40-years-old and will hope this is the start of a resurgence in 2023. The Italian will tee it up at the Dubai Desert Classic.
