Runner-up at PGA National Cole closed with a final round three-under 67 at The Honda Classic, losing on the first playoff hole to champion Chris Kirk. Impact Cole started Sunday's round in the final pairing alongside Kirk trailing by two shots, and he got off to a good start with three birdies in the first five holes to tie the lead. He took the sole lead after moving to four-under on the day with a birdie on the par-4 13th, before giving a shot back on the par-3 15th hole. Ultimately, he entered a playoff with Kirk where he narrowly missed a 10-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to extend the tournament. It's the first ever top-10 PGA Tour finish for the rookie, who was coming off his previous best finish of T-15 at Pebble Beach.
