Facing the Reign tells the story of Jessa Thomas, Washington State's first Black Rodeo Queen. The film follows Jessa's journey as she breaks barriers and empowers diverse communities to follow their dreams. Jessa, a 17-year-old cowgirl from Kittitas County, Washington, is the reigning Miss Teen Rodeo Washington 2024. The film highlights her passion for animals, her dedication to the rodeo, and her commitment to using her platform, 'Be YOU-tiful,' to amplify representation for diverse communities. Facing the Reign is more than just a film about rodeo; it's a testament to the power of representation and the importance of pursuing your passions.
