Seattle Police investigating 2 homicides that happened hours apart
SEATTLE - Seattle Police responded to two separate homicides on Friday that occurred within the span of four hours.

Deadly stabbing in Belltown

The first homicide happened around 5:00 p.m. in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood.
According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), when officers arrived, they found a man with a life-threatening stab wound in the lobby of an apartment building located in the 100 block of Cedar Street.
Police and Seattle Fire crews performed life-saving measures, but the victim, 38-year-old Devon Guion, died at the scene.
A 58-year-old man was arrested and booked into jail Tuesday night.
Police investigate homicide in Columbia City

Police are investigating another homicide that happened about four hours after the Belltown incident in Seattle's Columbia City neighborhood.
According to the SPD, around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a call about an overdose in the 2700 block of S Hanford St.
When officers arrived, they found a 54-year-old man lying on the sidewalk.
After investigating, officers discovered the victim had signs of trauma from an unknown weapon.
Seattle Fire medics declared the victim dead at the scene. Police later identified him as Derrick Owens.
A homicide investigation is underway.
