Search underway for 2 suspects in Poulsbo homicide
POULSBO, Wash. - Deputies are searching for two suspects after a homicide Tuesday morning in Poulsbo.
Lt. Ken Dickinson with the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting off Northeast Lincoln Road at about 1:30 a.m.
When deputies arrived, they found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound to his neck. After life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Dr. Lindsey Harle, the Kitsap County's medical examiner, later identified the man as Brandon Egeler, 38.
"I was upset," said Steven Hultin, who lives across the street. "I was just shaken by such an act of violence that happened across the street."
Hultin told FOX 13 that the area where the home is located had drawn police on a number of occasions. A public information officer for the Sheriff's Office told FOX 13 that they'd been to the location a number of times, including to retrieve stolen cars.
Lt. Dickinson said a suspect vehicle had left the scene after the 911 call inside the home.
Investigators quickly identified two suspects and there have been temporary felony warrants issued for their arrests.
