New Mexico governor's suspension of right to public carry guns sparks demonstrations

Some demonstrators defiantly wore holstered handguns on their hips or carried assault rifles in a rally by gun-rights advocates, protesting New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s surprise order to suspend for 30 days the right to carry firearms after two children were recently killed in separate shootings.

Arizona Gov. Hobbs vetoes gun-related school bills

One bill would have allowed parents with a permit to carry concealed weapons onto school campuses. The second bill would have required schools to host firearm safety training for kids in grades 6-12.
