It's been 10 years since widespread Phoenix area flooding

This Sunday marks 10 years since a terrible monsoon storm flooded streets across the Valley. There were dozens of water rescues that day and several lawsuits in the years since then. About four inches of rain fell on the Valley in a seven-hour time span. It flooded interstates and roadways. That led to lots of stuck vehicles and water rescues. Many homes were also flooded.

A major monsoon storm swept through the Phoenix area on Thursday, Aug. 22. Rain, high winds, hail and a dust storm came through the Phoenix, Mesa, Scottsdale and Gilbert areas.
