Heat dangers at Grand Canyon amid hiker deaths

It's been a deadly summer at the Grand Canyon, as at least three people have died while hiking, and it's believed the heat may have played a role in their deaths. Luke Anders, a ranger with the National Park Service, joined AZAM to share some advice for hikers heading to the Grand Canyon.

Another hiker found dead at the Grand Canyon

A Texas man died while hiking along a Grand Canyon trail on Sunday. The National Park Service says crews responded to a report of an unresponsive hiker at 2 p.m. on July 7 on the Bright Angel Trail, approximately 100 feet below the trailhead.

A 41-year-old man who was hiking in the Grand Canyon was found dead on Bright Angel Trail, the National Park Service said.

Man believed to be missing with dog in Grand Canyon

The National Park Service is searching for a man who they believed attempted to raft down the Colorado River with his dog. Thomas Lee Robison was reported missing, along with his Corgi, in Grand Canyon National Park on Sunday.
