Homelessness: SCOTUS issues ruling on sleeping ban

In its first major decision on the issue in decades, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on June 28 that people can be fined and arrested for sleeping on the streets. It was a major win for cities trying to deal with a surge in homeless encampments, but alarming for the hundreds of thousands of people in this country who have nowhere to go.
