Überblick

Alleima leverages advanced materials technologies to build high-end components for a wide range of industries. Divesting from its parent company, Alleima was required to build a new networking and security infrastructure from the ground up.

The company built its infrastructure on the Fortinet Security Fabric. It uses Fortinet Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) to connect its LANs and for IT-OT network segmentation. The company also connected its global operations via Fortinet Secure SD-WAN. Each FortiGate is supported by FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services for unified threat protection. Alleima also deployed a security operations (SecOps) solution from Fortinet to gain insights into security events and for automated detection and alerting. Additional solutions in its Security Fabric include the FortiClient Endpoint Management Server (EMS), FortiEDR endpoint detection and response, and FortiAuthenticator for user authentication. With Fortinet, Alleima has eliminated the network performance and reliability issues of its legacy environment and now benefits from significant efficiencies that enable it to maintain a lean global IT team.

“Fortinet makes awesome products, and I love installing them. They make my job easier while also improving my team’s ability to secure and support our many sites.”

– Chris Lubinski, Network Security Engineer, Alleima
