I have taken up photography as an increasingly serious hobby after my retirement. I sort of re-discovered Flickr through a friend and started to upload my photos to this platform from early 2011. I have been amazed by the many beautiful photos displayed on Flickr. It has been a thrilling experience for me personally as I can learn a lot from the pool of diverse talents in this global community. I love to shoot just about anything..........flowers, landscape, stills, life, macros, etc. Thank you for stopping by and leaving your comments, words of encouragement, and faves.

The photos that I add to my Favorites generally fall into two categories. The first is not just for the beautiful photos that I admire, but at the same time they simply touch my heart or they are truly inspiring. The second is for the photos that I would never have been able to take myself because I do not think I would ever be there physically, or for the photos that I would not have been capable of taking with my limited skills. I hope you will enjoy viewing them as much as I do.
