Audi is accepting orders for the all-new Q5, which is priced from £49,950.
First deliveries of the car are due in April 2025.
The new model is based Audi's Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), like the new A5. The sharper looking Q5 takes styling cues from its electric sister car, the Q6 e-tron.
Using Audi's new interior design language, the Q5 features a combined infotainment and instrument cluster display panel that sits along the top of the dashboard. The central touchscreen integrates key functions such as climate controls and also features a variety of connected entertainment services.
Audi claims the new Q5 offers more passenger space than before. It comes with a fully adjustable rear seat, that can be moved to benefit either legroom or luggage space.
It is powered by a range of mild hybrid engines, initially, with a plug-in hybrid powertrain set to launch at a later date.
The powertrain offer consists of a 2.0-litre petrol with 204PS and a 2.0-litre diesel with 204PS. Both use a seven-speed automatic gearbox and have Quattro all-wheel-drive. CO2 emissions start from 156g/km for both engines. The petrol engine manages up to 41mpg, while the diesel achieves 48mpg.
The SQ5 is fitted with a petrol V6. It develops 367PS and emits from 185g/km of CO2.
Details about the plug-in hybrid powertrain are yet to be confirmed.
The new Q5 is available in Sport, S Line and Edition 1 specification options, while the SQ5 comes in an S-specific version of the Edition 1 package.
Entry-level Sport models feature 19-inch alloy wheels, a powered tailgate, LED lighting, adaptive cruise control, reversing camera, heated front sport seats upholstered in Twin Leather and wireless smartphone charging.
S Line versions have sportier exterior styling with privacy glass and 20-inch alloy wheels, sport suspension and an adjustable rear seat bench.
Edition 1 comes with 21-inch wheels, Matrix LED lights, keyless entry, 360-degree camera and electrically adjustable front seats.
All Q5 are fitted with Audi's latest MMI infotainment system via a central 14.5-inch OLED touchscreen. It is paired with a second digital instrument cluster display. The Editon 1 versions also feature a third display for the front passenger.
