About Us: We run a YouTube channel dedicated to teaching Spanish in an engaging and accessible way. Project Overview: - Sync and insert provided Canva slides content at the appropriate moments within the video. Rather than using FCPX's titles, we create our titles and graphics in Canva, export them to 4K PNG image files and import them into the project's timeline. - Apply transitions and effects to maintain a smooth and professional flow. - Ensure that the final video aligns with our brand aesthetics and educational style. - Collaborate with our content creators for feedback and revisions. - Set up a remote editing collaboration workflow to sync video media, assets & FCPX libraries between your editing machine and ours. Technical Requirements: - Proficiency in Final Cut Pro X. - Experience with integrating graphics or slide elements into video content (industry terms might include “inserting overlays” or “adding graphic elements”). - Ability to manage file formats, export settings, and other technical details essential for high-quality YouTube content. - Proficient in English and Spanish. - Mimic and apply our existing editing style to our videos. Experience & Portfolio: - Proven experience in video editing, ideally with educational or YouTube content. - A portfolio or examples of previous work that demonstrate your capability, especially projects with a similar style or content focus. Logistics: - Expected turnaround for projects is within 2-3 days. --- Video editing will be required on a weekly basis. - You will start each project with the majority of A-Cuts pre-edited. The final video runtime is approximately 20 minutes with some projects being shorter or longer, but averaging to about 20 minutes. Your job will be to: --- Select the better of 2 or more takes of the same shot (when applicable). --- Crop & time the Canva PNG images in the video using our existing style of transition effects. --- Add built-in and royalty-free sound effects as needed. Revisions & Feedback Process: - We believe in clear, consistent communication. Our process includes: --- An initial review where you deliver a draft. --- A feedback session (via email, video call, or our preferred communication channel) to discuss any revisions. --- A set number of revision rounds (this can be detailed further once we finalize the collaboration). --- A final review ensuring the edited video meets our quality standards and brand guidelines.
