I am seeking a skilled team to assist with compressing embedded images across 740 Illustrator designs for a specific project. This task involves un-embedding the images, saving them as PSDs, compressing them into lower-quality JPGs in Photoshop, and then accurately reinserting them into a new AI file with the correct scale and position.

The primary goal of this process is to reduce the overall file size but files need to be supplied exactly as we need them please. This project is time-sensitive and requires a dedicated team to ensure all tasks are completed within the specified deadline.

What we do
Our website where we offers personalisable decorations which our customers can personalise with their own photos and text...
We have been building a new website since 2020 which is now nearly ready for launch – but we need to add the customisable designs to it now.
We have created 164 different ‘master’ designs in Illustrator for the site for batches 1-3 which, are all in the spreadsheet we want you to work through.
Some master designs have different versions aimed at different customer types (example ‘for him’, ‘for her’) or events/themes (example a wedding, or superhero birthday party theme) these require different customer images suitable to the person or theme whom that version of the design is aimed at, and we have found and added images to these versions… there are 740 versions overall.
Each version is made up of 6 sizes/shaped products…
Meaning that there are 740 versions x 6 products on the spreadsheet = 4,440 products in this batch.
The task
In order to work on the website these versions need to be saved as SVG’s with a suitable image in them, the SVGs need the images inside them to be compressed but still look great so that they are within the max file size for the website… then customers can load and personalise designs quickly with them also looking amazing.
When we were making the original designs and versions we did not compress the images down. So we need a group of freelancers to open each of the 740 version files in Illustrator, unembed an image and save is as a PSD, then compress this PSD using specific settings which can be batch automated with bridge, finally the image needs to be placed into the master file against each topper type, and resized/fitted in the same way the original file you started with is laid out.
Each of the 6 products in a version file use the same image you will have already compressed - so you only need 1 image per set of 6, but you will need to place it 6 times (one for each product/art board) onto the right layer, and align/resize it 6 times too. Each version was taking me about 5 minutes in total to do, so it’s about 740 versions x 5 mins (3,700 mins/62 hours) of work in total if you do it efficiently and correctly.
We need this done in the next 3 days so that we can make up the SVG files and upload to the site this week… based on this taking around 62 hours for the first spreadsheet we think an agency (or group of freelancers) would be best here as they can manage internally and split the workload between the team... you will probably need to split this between around 4-5 freelancers in your team please.
We also have a batch 4&5 spreadsheet which will need doing if this is done, quickly, efficiently, and most importantly CORRECTLY WITH NO ERRORS. I will create a loom video for any successful team applying explaining exactly what we need you to do with each instruction on it nice and clear, along with detailed instructions.

Note that we are making up and adding master files in the background as you are making the compressed versions, so hopefully you will not catch us up, but if you did then we will just have to ask you to pause for the moment so that we can get ahead again so as not to waste your time.
