Dear Employer, As a Senior Process Engineer, I have designed numerous heat exchangers including plate and frame, shell and tube and finned air heater. Regarding your question, if I'm not mistaken you want to use the latent heat of a 6 barg steam to heat up a water in liquid phase for 50C; in this condition more or less 6 kg/s saturated steam at 6 barg is needed. As the pressure in liquid side is too high, only shell and tube heat exchanger is suggested and the temperture profile can be easily calculated using EDR.
