A message from the Superintendent:
Dear Forrest City Family,
The words “One Forrest City, One Community, One Vision” resonates now more than ever. As a community, our united resilience has been evident over the last few months. I am confident now more than ever, that our community will continue to work as “ONE” as we prepare for a unique experience in August as we plan to return to teaching and learning. We are preparing to adjust as needed and understand that some families may choose a fully virtual experience. In all scenarios we will keep safety at the forefront of a positive academic experience. I want to ensure you that our Re-entry Task Force is working diligently to create a plan that works for our community while:
- Adhering to the CDC and ADH guidelines
- Adhering to all restrictions of local and state government
- Providing a quality academic experience that meets the expectations of the families we servein a blended learning environment
- Protecting the safety and welfare of our OUR community
Our current reality is changing daily, and we will continue to adjust as needed and update our community as information becomes available. Based on the information we have to date we will apply a phased approached and begin the school year with 3 days on campus and 2 days virtually for families that choose the blended learning option. We will revisit our plan before October 1, 2020.
Respectfully yours,
Dr. Tiffany Hardrick, Superintendent and the Forrest City Leadership Team and Task Force
