Farm Business Schools: Empowering Rural Communities

Lebanese farmers embarked on a journey of learning and growth through FAO's Farm Business Schools funded by the European Union. Through the Farm Business School (FBS) initiative, 325 farmers shifted their focus from production only to profitability, financial management, and market dynamics. Building on the successes of the first implementation in 2019, 26 Farm Business Schools were rolled out, with more than 32% of participants being women. With newfound skills, expenses are reduced, income rises, and community pride grows. Farm Business Schools offer hope for sustainable livelihoods and vibrant communities.
