The FAO Subregional Office for Southern Africa (SFS) hosts Annual Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to bring together experts and stakeholders to develop integrated solutions for transforming agrifood systems. The region, covering 15 SADC countries, faces challenges like climate change, water scarcity, and socio-economic vulnerabilities that impact agricultural productivity and food security.
This year's 18th FAO SFSMDT meeting, themed "Bolstering Climate Resilience in Southern Africa: Innovating Partnering and Investing for Sustainable Agrifood Systems," will feature dynamic formats such as pitch presentations, thematic sessions, team-building activities and interactive workshops. The focus will be on fostering collaboration, sharing innovative solutions, and shaping strategic priorities to build resilient agrifood systems. The meeting will assess progress, share best practices, and align regional strategies with FAO's goals.
Join us from 11 to 14 November 2024 on zoom or in person at the Rainbow Towers, Harare, Zimbabwe.
