Course Description
The OSD/WHS Action Officer Course is an interactive webinar designed to familiarize Action Officers with best practices for preparing correspondence consistent with DoD 5110.4-M, “Manual for Written Material”. Training topics include: Effective Writing Techniques, Coordination Requirements for Official Correspondence, Correspondence Formats, and the OSD and WHS Organizational Structures.

Classes tend to fill up several weeks before the start date. Each class accommodates 30 participants. Classes are typically offered monthly via three 2-hour segments.
