Together, the partners are transforming their energy systems and opening up important new fields of business.

We support high-level political dialogue, encourage civil society activities, facilitate fertile business environments, enhance exchange of best practices and and convey the idea of energy transition.

Facts & Figures

Sunshine Hours per Year

Global demand for energy is steadily rising and requires new sources of energy production. Thanks to the continuous improvement of technologies, renewable energies become a progressively reliable alternative. However, most renewable energy sources depend on geographic conditions.

In this context, Tunisia can benefit from an impressive number of sunshine hours per year, much more than Germany.

Milestones

The German-Tunisian energy partnership was established in 2012. The technical collaboration is organized along thematically organized task forces in which representatives of the government of both countries take part. Those experts treat a large spectrum of energy subjects.
Furthermore, the partnership disposes of a permanent German-Tunisian Secretariat in Tunis.
