Short Messaging Services is used to send text messages to customers’ contacts. There are two types of SMS;

  • P2P – two or more people communicate over text messaging
  • A2P – Process of sending mobile messages from an application to a mobile user

Receive a detailed history of the calls you have made with our Call History service.

How to Retrieve Your Call History on A Prepaid Line

  • You must be the registered owner of the line.
  • You have to make the request for your Call History in person.
  • Visit our Head Offices in Msasa or the nearest Econet Shop  with your original ID, a photocopy and your SIM certificate.
  • There may be an additional fee depending on the number of copies you need.
  • This process can take up to 7 days to be completed.
  • Please note, there is a processing fee of $1.

How to Retrieve Your Call History on A Post-Paid Line

  • You must be the registered owner of the line.
  • You can request your call history in person or via email if you are registered for the E-Bills Service.

How to Retrieve Your Call History for Third Party Requests

  • You must be the registered owner of the line.
  • You have to make the request for your Call History in person.
  • Exceptions are made in the case of matters of a legal or criminal nature.
  • A police report will therefore be needed to grant approval for the request.
  • All communication involving the case will be made directly with the police department and not with the parties involved. This means that our legal team will only give the records to the police department.

How to Retrieve Call History for Data Records

  • You can filter the type of records you want to view and specify that you only want to see your data consumption.
  • The records will include the time the data connections were made and the volume of data that was used.
  • The records do not indicate the websites or the pages you may have visited.

  1. Go to call/phone settings, select divert option of your choice e.g. “divert if busy or unanswered”
  2. Enter the voicemail number 122, this is where all your unanswered calls will be diverted to.

How to Change Your Voicemail Password

How to Set Up Your Own Personal Greeting

  1. Dial 122 and enter voicemail password
  2. Select option 5:

  4. Select option 2: Record a personal greeting
  5. Select option 1: You will be prompted to record your greeting and then press #

How Voicemail Works

  • A maximum of 10 voice messages can be deposited in your voicemail box.
  • When the mailbox is full, old messages are overwritten by the new ones.
  • All unheard voicemail messages are kept in the system for 5 days and all heard voicemail messages are kept in the system for 3 days.
  • Callers that leave voice messages will be charged the normal voice tariff and you will not be charged for retrieving your voice messages.
