MidCamp 2023 is in search of a few good contribution initiatives and leads for those initiatives for our contribution day on April 28, 2023, from 10am to 4pm.

If you have an initiative you are willing to lead, please comment here with the initiative title and short description. We'll ask you to be available during the day to lead the initiative. Tickets for contrib day are free, but we ask you to register so we have a count of attendees.

Jumping in here that I would love to demo and get help with making Same Page Preview. We're JUST out of our hacking fast stage and have a few challenges to face:

  • Phase 2 goals: adding the ability to respond to field changes
  • Improve Accessibility: proper handling of focus and arial for accessibility tools
  • Cleanup admin preferences and use local storage to persist user settings

Also, I can help lead the day with trainings on DDEV / Drupalpod and writing tests.

Hello -- I'm interested in leading an initiative/get help on the Editoria11y project. Version 2.0 was just released, and looking for help with the project backlog (generally) as well as some DevOps stuff specifically.

Can also help with DDEV as needed.

Friday (9-10 CDT) is the weekly Usability meeting on Zoom, which he moderates. Anyone who wants can join the call. The rest of the day, he could mentor anyone who wants to help with usability initiatives.
There are big changes coming in 10.1: https://www.drupal.org/project/ideas/issues/3318110, and there has been a lot of work on the Field UI.
