The Auditor is responsible for administering all federal, state, county, city/town or school, hospital, fire, cemetery, water, sewer, port, park and recreation and public utility district elections for our 26,000+ registered voters. In addition to the annual primary and general election, there can also be two special elections in February and April.
As part of election administration, we register voters, maintain voter registration records, manage candidate filing for local offices, create and send the proper ballot for each voter, verify signatures on returned ballots and on election night tabulate ballots and release election results.
