Javascript for highlighting elements on web page (Evaluation process)

This is a small evaluation project to find a partner suitable for helping me develop a feature for my quality assurance application WebScanner, which is a service that crawls web pages and report errors like broken links, spelling mistakes, poor seo etc. I need someone with good knowledge in Javascript, DOM and css! The assignment is to build a javascript that hightlights the element on a web page that the error is originating from. Finding the element on the page will be done based on their content and attributes, like the title or url of a link that is broken for example. So the script does only have to find and mark the element based on input, actual validation etc is outside the scope. But selecting the correct element will be a bit tricky since the inner and outer html of a tag will not be equal to what the input to the script can provide. The final solution will have the script injected to a http scraped version of the live page. To ensure I find the right resource for this, I want to see a sample first. This project consists of a small test to see you have the right knowledge etc. Todo: In the attached web page, I want the link marked as in shot.png. Doesn't have to be 100% equal in appearance of course. This should be done only with the input "serviceavgifter" since this is the title of the link. Demonstrate this be declaring a variable with this string and using that to select the element. The final markup will be more complex and look as in attached "[login to view URL]", but this is only as background info. The script should work on standard web browsers on both pc/mac/android/iphone etc. The delivery must consist of only the javascript. To test it, I will add this to the same original web page. So tampering with the html source to easier find the element is of course not allowed :) Remember that this is only a evaluation. You must be able to build this so it's compatible with any(?) web page regarding css etc later on if you are selected. I will evaluate several freelancers if needed, but will only pay minor sums for this part of the project. I hope you will see the bigger picture and get well paid in the final project. So bidding high now will probably not get you selected. If you are the right developer for this, it will not require any great deal of work.
