I’m looking to hire a skilled and detail-oriented freelance audiobook editor for ongoing work. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Adobe Audition and have extensive experience in audiobook editing, specifically in removing unwanted noises and performing thorough, word-by-word proofreading. Key Responsibilities: - Detailed Audio Cleanup: Remove mouth clicks, breaths, pops, and other unwanted sounds by listening to each word. - Proofreading: Listen carefully for any mistakes or errors in the narration and edit to maintain a smooth, natural flow. - Spectrograph Editing: Use Adobe Audition’s spectrograph tools to identify and clean up noise artifacts effectively. --- Current Project Details: This project requires a thorough listen-through to catch each breath and any unusual or unwanted background noises. Please manually replace each breath with silence, ensuring no automated tools (e.g., iZotope RX) are used. - Requirements: - Manual Editing Only: No automated tools; must be done by listening. - Software: Proficiency in Adobe Audition; this task must be completed within Audition. - Attention to Detail: Ensure each breath is replaced with silence and remove any noise that doesn’t belong.
