I am getting dumps of two databases on a regular basis and they need to be ported into databases I can do queries against. I need this done at least once for now but want a program to do this automatically, I'd like the program to be in Python and the database I use to be Postgresql.

You don´t need a Program. It´s a punishment!!!. Create, compile, maintenance, and repeat, repeat. It´s would be in Shell Scripts. It´s more natural for routine task of the Database. Contact to me by chat and talking aboud.

I currently use a bash script on a daily basis to make a dump of all PostgreSQL databases that I have on a own server. If you're using GNU/Linux, we can implement it for you. I've worked with web scraping project using Python that put the resulting parsed pages into the database. The database was MySQL, but should have no problem porting it to Postgres.
