PROJECT DETAILS: We are working on a project where we intent to secure a drone even when one of the four rotors has complete switched off because of fault. We need to bring back the drone without crashing and with somewhat stable control on it. Different researchers across the world has already controlled a quadrotor upon 1,2 and surprisingly 3 rotor fail out of four total. We need develop a fault tolerant mechanism of a quadrotor, failed of one rotor. The drone should be capable of hovering or maybe even traversing a given waypoint or returning to home without crashing. There are many research and real implementation already in the world where the drone starts yawing upon rotor failure due to torque imbalance, and we are looking for a readymade firmware for our respect. We also need create a fault detection method and only on detection should our newly created firmware should be have the simulink file and we need to implement it on px4.
