What are profile badges?

Profile badges are flair for your profile that can be earned by taking part in official contests and events, or granted from deviant to deviant. Some common badges you may encounter include:

  • Llama Badges: Deviants can send Llama badges to other deviants. As you collect Llama badges, your badge will evolve into different kinds of llamas! You can also purchase sunglasses and a bowtie for Llama badges for 80 and 40 DeviantArt Points, respectively.

  • Cake Badges: Give slices of Cake badges to deviants to add a festive celebration to their profile! Cake badges can be given for 80 DeviantArt Points each.

  • Misc. Badges: Earn badges by keeping up with the latest DeviantArt contests, events, and activities! Badges are often available for participation in these events, so keep an eye on your message center and and watch Team for the latest DeviantArt announcements.

  • Merit Badges: Some badges have been awarded to current and former DeviantArt team members or volunteers to commemorate their service.

If you decide you don’t want badges you’ve received to display on your profile, you can hide them by going to your About tab, clicking Edit, unchecking the Show My Badges checkbox on the menu that appears, and clicking Save.
