Aabella's Gift. 9
Chapter 9. I skipped the whole saying goodbye thing :/ ...... Arabella settled into her leather saddle, looking around her for the first real time.
The woods stretched out before her for miles, but the thick brush only allowed her to see out for a few yards. Tall oaks, maples, cedars, and pines stretched up to the cloudy heavens, branches fanning out and producing a canopy of dark green leaves.

His hind quarters were hidden by the tall oak tree that stood in Arabella's line of view.
She glanced around one last time. The young girl stepped off of the old, worn path and into the dark, damp grass that seemed to ...

Chapter 4. Arabella jerked upright in bed, a gasp escaping her open mouth.
Her eyes strained to see in the darkness of her room. The moon was hidden behind thick clouds, and there was no dull glow to provide light in the spacious area.
"What the....?"
Disoriented from being woken up so suddenly, she tossed her thick quilt to the side and leaped out of bed, landing on her tiptoes, and shuffling quietly to the tall wooden door on the other side of the room.
She could hear strange, muffled voices some where downstairs. There were a few bumps and thuds, like shoes on the hard wood floor. That was what had awoken her in the first place.
Arabe...
