Description

This started off as a semi-realistic cross-section, but I knew I wanted to make it weird. For a bit, it was turning into a realistic drawing (when I was doing the hook near the top holding the anatomical model, for example), but I fixed that! Originally it didn't have the tail on it, and was a sort of rocketship inspiration. I added the tail after someone commented that it looked like a shark brain.

I'm trying a few new things. Non-enclosed shapes at the outer ends of the fins, and near the end of the tail. These abstracts I do are my play, so I don't sweat trying new stuff.

I started drawing this on 26-November-2006, and completed it on 03-December-2006. Total time taken was about four hours (+/- 1 hr). Done in 0.5mm HB lead mechanical pencil.

Different people see different things in these and interpret them differently. Feel free to leave a comment if you see something you like. Suggestions are welcome as well.
