So, i was once asked what programs/applications and the brushes i use by ! I have some free time to kill before studying so I'll be posting it a lil about it here.
So! I actually use two programs, my earlier works was done on medibang (which you can get for free) and some of my later works use clip studio paint (quite pricey, but totally worth the price!), but I don't need to talk much about my traditional art since there isn't much to say but copics and editing apps.
1) MediBang
Here are some of my works with MediBang:
I mostly use a G-pen to color and draw them (I messed around with the size, opacity, and pressure). Though I remember using a fluffy watercolor (downloadable) or watercolor to color, but I don't really know which, unfortunately ^^" ((i forgot the brush I used for erestor's hair sorry, but im pretty sure it was a g-pen))
using grainy textures helps a lot! to me, it makes most of my art look a lot better and less...slippery-looking? idk the word
i like using the grainy ones, especially the fourth one. Decrease the opacity so it doesn't look too dark or so it doesn't cover up your drawing.
aside from that, overlaying is a good way to make your drawings look better, especially with the colors.
Here's Erestor without overlaying:
and here's Erestor with #460A09 Overlay on 29% opacity:
i do this bc i'm bad with colors haha, bc sometimes they dont go the way i want it to.
2) Clip Studio Paint
Here are some of my works on CSP:
and also my Maglor and Fingon animations that I can't upload here for some reason...
there's not much difference here since i'm still trying to figure it out. The brush I use is the texture pen and the dry gouache to color. idk why the paintbucket tool keeps coloring the entire page even though i covered all the gaps :/ so not much to say here! again, the abuse of using texture continues, the drawing paper texture is a favorite.
3) Traditional
For traditional, I use an 0.1 or 0.05 drawing pen and copic markers. I then edit them on VSCO or the camscanner app, to bring out the colors or give more texture. The Amras and Amrod one aren't edited that much and I just used VSCO to sharpen the colors and give texture, but I abused the camscanner and vsco app for the house of finarfin piece since my room's lighting pretty much ruined it whenever i tried taking pics.
As for the Beleg one, I used watercolors (obviously) but not much to say here since I'm not really good at it.
And that's all for now! I hope this was somewhat useful since I'm still trying to learn how to use them as well :")
