I know I'm late but I decided to give the dragonball redraw challenge a try.
I had to look at the original and other fans art just so I could get the lighting effects right. I've never done lighting effects of a character before so I had to use both as a guide to make sure I was doing it correctly. I wanted my version to be good or at least passable. I used Masaki sato's style because his work is amazing.
