Nostalgia

I used Photoshop to remove the dancers from Matisse's first draft of La Danse, then I drew, inked, and scanned in some of my favorite childhood comic characters. I think I did pretty good with the poses, especially considering the characters were split between five separate sheets of paper, but I think the inking could have been handled better. Then I colored in photoshop and applied a filter to the characters, although the filter isn't very noticeable.

Watercolor-type paintings are relatively easy to alter in Photoshop, I've found. The graininess (is that a word?) works well with the rubber stamp tool.
