Dear Reader,Ever since summer began, I've had this half-baked idea that I was going to write and illustrate a webcomic. I came up with full-chapter storyboards, drew several character busts (two of which I posted here), and certainly bragged about it in this journal.The reason I wanted to start this project was to give myself a framework within which to practice my art and storytelling; I believed that a structured project would focus my pieces and prevent me from starting too many aimless artworks. Now that I'm done with school and back from vacation, it's time to begin production work on Advent! I've already completed storyboards for the prologue and scripting for the first chapter, so all that's left is to finalize character design and production will start in earnest.Advent is set in the near future, and people are just beginning to discover the threat of Shadows, entities who form in the image of a specific individual and, when they become powerful enough, eradicate said individual and replace them, unbenownst to friends and family. Hi Guys! Since crazy testing season has just begun at school, I will soon have time to actually work on my art, and I've chosen to start a webcomic. I'm about halfway through storyboarding the prologue, and I will give out some information on the plot when I can scrape together some teaser images, but for now here is my question to you:The name I've settled on is Advent (which means "coming", to those who don't know), as the plot is a somewhat dark one that may or may not include the end of humanity. Is that an interesting name, or should I look for something more engaging?Please comment and stay tuned in for more info!
