This group was created to celebrate that iconic aircraft the F-14 Tomcat made famous by movies such as TOPGUN and The Final Countdown (she also has a central role in TOPGUN: Maverick). She has gained admirers around the globe. Retired in 2006, she also has thousands of veterans that served with her that still love her.
The objective of this group is to mainly focus on works that respect the spirit of the historic aircraft, that queen of the swing wings, that muscle backed beauty that made her pilots and RIO's proud to call her their aircraft. It is why this gallery does not accept everything submitted to it and why it has the look it does. This group reserves the right to reject artwork that it deems tasteless and not in the spirit of the historic aircraft.
I have to post these rules because I don't want this group becoming cluttery. We want it tidy like a ramp where Tomcats are parked all in a neat row. The focus of this group is Tomcats. If you go onto Facebook, for those of you that have a Facebook account, there are several beautiful F-14 Tomcat groups on that site that are well managed. You can page through picture after picture of F-14's. That is my vision for this group and that is why these rules have to be the way they are.
1. Please submit art in its appropriate folder. This just makes it easier for the staff.
2. Treat other members and staff with respect--no drama in this group or complaining about members in your journal etc.
3. No work that requires a mature tag whether you have tagged it such or not. That covers of a lot of ground from gore to sex to cussing. Eyes of all ages admire the F-14 Tomcat.
4. No off topic art. Again that is a lot of ground, and includes such things as politics. We are looking for art that is the actual F-14 Tomcat, No living machine material please. Living Machine material you find in the gallery are staff picks.
5. No fetishes or sexual themed work--did I say fetishes? Fetish and sexual work has no place in this group. This falls under the heading of off topic but it bears mentioning. Shipping works/romance-themed works are also strictly prohibited.
6. Literature can be accepted; we are looking more for literature about the historic plane for this gallery. Please no foul language in the stories or sexual themes or gore.
7. Lastly don't disrespect the Lady. This group is designed to appeal to those purists that are interested in the historic machine. The F-14 Tomcat is not a 'him' a ‘he' a bad boy, old man etc. She was not that to the aircrew and ground crew who flew her and maintained her. Works that depict her as such or have such wording in the captions will be rejected. Also along these lines don't dress her ridiculous. She didn't star in Five Nights at Freddy's or in My Little Pony. She should not show up at the ramp wearing stuff that is not military related. Additionally she wants to be the one starring in her beauty shoots. Don't pose her with any other ladies. The only others we want her posing with are her crew dressed in their flight suits or work clothes.
8. Images of F-14s being shredded will not be accepted here, as this is not the sort of thing that we wish to showcase in this Group.
9. Any and all works related to, or inspired by, Robotech Macross will be instantly denied.
Content that is set to Premium View/Watchers Only View will be instantly denied, as we do not wish to pay Points/Watch people in order to approve their content for inclusion in this Group.
Subscription Content is prohibited in this Group as we do not wish to subscribe to people in order to approve their content for inclusion in the Group. Membership requests from people who have Subscription galleries will be instantly denied for the same reason. Thanks for understanding on this.
Dire machines will not be accepted in this Group, due to the explicit, graphic sexual content linked with them.
No content created by A.I. programs please!
