I want to thank the people who have bought three of my prints from here in the past few weeks. My appreciation goes well beyond any dollar amount you could place on my art and will keep me motivated to produce more. Lately I've had the chance to shoot some clear blue skies. I'll frame a shot of a landscape and turn my circular polarizer until I have a beautiful cobalt blue sky, and take the shot. Then when I upload the photo and take it into my editor (PSP X2) I can see noise in the sky in the form of waves or rings. So I'll use some different noise reducing tools, but they do not help much. If I attempt to adjust the contrast, that makes it much worse. Also the smudge tool even makes the rings worse, unless I turn the opacity way up and that makes the sky look like smudged crap! I used to think it was my graphics or monitor but I just got a new lapto...
