Mario and Sonic. 2 of my favorite video game characters of all-time. Mario is the character that introduced me with the platforming genre. I still have New Super Mario Bros Wii and Super Mario Galaxy and I still love these games. Nostalgia bias aside, I still think they're awesome games, especially Galaxy. I also enjoyed playing New Super Mario Bros Wii U and Super Mario Bros 3D World, especially with friends.
Sonic is the character that made me fell in love with the genre. Sonic 2, Sonic 3&K, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations. These games are great imo, and Sonic Colors is the one that I've played first in the franchise.
Sonic is far from a series as good as Mario in terms of games quality, but I still prefer it because of my personal tastes. But I still consider myself as a fan of both worlds
