Description
Check out the link to the journal here that describes why I think each of these characters are the most realistic and the most appropriate for Smash: ![](https://st.deviantart.net/minish/gruzecontrol/icons/journal.gif?2)
Also, as what is also described in the journal, I have a few ideas of what new things they could do with the Smash Bros. formula, wthat could show itself in Smash Bros. 5:
1) Multiple Final Smashes. ~ Final Smashes have become so fun to use in Brawl, but what if they went the extra mile and made even more options for Final Smashes for each character? Since a Final Smash can be executed by simply pressing B like a Special Attack, a player could execute different Final Smashes by pressing B along with a certain direction, just like the Special Attacks. So, each character can have up to 4 different options for Final Smashes. And they all have different effects, so each player can experiment and see which one they like best. This amount of detail could guarantee players would play Smash 5 for even longer, just to test and see which Final Smash they like best.
2) Playing as Boss Characters. ~ I thought of this when deciding if Ridley should even be in Smash Bros. or not. And with his inclusion in Smash 4, that gave me the idea to perhaps play as iconic Nintendo bosses in the game. Out of any number of players, only one of them will get to play as a Boss Character, because a match with all 8 players or even 4 players playing as bosses against each other would simply be too much. Therefore, only one will play as a boss, and the other players will decide if they should fight as normal against each other, or all work together to take down the boss player. Think of it as like playing as Bowser in Mario Party 10, it's kinda like that. Boss Characters can still be launched like regular characters, but it is signifcantly harder to do so. And though their attacks are powerful and can reach a long distance, there can be a cooldown period every time they use a certain move so that player doesn't unfairly spam it against the other players. Furthermore, these boss characters can only be played in ceratin stages, but the flying ones can be played in any stage in its Omega version. The Boss Characters in this roster are identified by their texbox being coloured red.
3) Alternate Costumes. ~ I didn't mention this in my journal, but I feel that this could work. We really don't want clone characters in Smash Bros., but there are some who like playing as the clones above the originals. Therefore, I think it's fair to make thsoe clones the Alternate Costumes of each Smash fighter, complete eith their own anme being announced and their own voice. For example, Pit's Alternate Costume is Dark Pit. Marth's Alternate Costume is Lucina. Captain Falcon's Alternate Costume is Blood Falcon. The list goes on.
4) Character Endings. ~ Ever tried beating Classic Mode with all the characters in previous Smash games? Noticed how boring it gets after a while? Even though Smash 4's Classic Mode never has the same playthrough with each character as there are infinite possibilities of what rounds you'll get, have you still felt it was boring to play it with each and every character? Yeah, me too. And to me, I feel the problem is a lack of context. It would be nice to know what each of these characters are going through this journey for. And a simple character ending (and not a unique slideshow or a screenshot for each one) would do that. It be especially nice because we could get to see each character interact with others, which is really the cream of the crop for a crossover game in my opinion.
Also, I had a few other ideas for characters that didn't make the cut for this roster, or I just ran out of space to include them:
FAWFUL (Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga) ~ I was originally going to have him him in this roster instead of Geno. But with how perfect of a position it would be for Geno to be in this roster with Square Enix's possible inclusion, there couldn't be any room for Fawful unfortunately. Furthermore, there is already a huge selection of Mario characters; three in this new set, so it would seem a bit much.
DRAWCIA (Kirby: Canvas Curse) ~ There have been so many artist0based characters in the Kirby series. So much so that if there is going to be a new Kirby non-boss character, it should be one of them. Because they could have a very creative moveset. And out of all the many different artist characters like Adeline, Paint Roller, and so on, Drawcia is the most prominent. I could make her the boss character instead of Dyna Blade, but I think she would be better suited as a regular character. Unfortunately, there already is enough new regular characters, so I couldn't make room for Drawcia. Maybe in Smash 6, she'll get a chance.
ASHLEY & RED (WarioWare: Touched!) ~ I agree that a new WarioWare character would be great for this Smash roster. But I just kinda ran out of room, sooo... yeah. It would be hard to know what the fighitng styles of the WarioWare characters would be like though, considering that you don't even play as any of them; just playing microgames. But if any of them have any kind of fighting potential whatsoever, it's gotta be Ashley. Who wouldn't want to be a cute little with casting awesome seplls with her plucky devil sidekick that she could turn into anything. So she turn him into a trident, a cannon, the possibilities for her moveset would be just endless! Funnily enough, I thought Mona would be a good chocie too, but Ashely really does seem like a better fighter. Too bad I ran out of room in this roster. Maybe next time.
HECTOR (Fire Emblem Advance) ~ If tehre's going to be a new Fire Emblem character, then it has to be one of a different class. We really don't need another Marth clone, or even an Ike or Robin clone. The problem is, not many protagonists in the Fire Emblem franchise are of different classes compared to sword warriors like Marth. So if they really had to reach, they could go for Hector, an axe user, and the only protagonist in the Fire Elmblem series to use one. The only problem is what an axe user would fight like, and Hector looks far too similar to Ike. Sooo... maybe just pass on him. Perhaps it's best to wait to see what Fire Emblem If has in store for a unique protagonist / character.
IMPA (The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors) ~ Ever since Skyward Sword, Impa has become more of a fan-favourite character in the Zelda series. And I agree, she looks awesome. And based on her gameplay in Hyrule Warriors, she plays awesome too. She has a versatile amount of skills, can deal great damage with her huge blade, and can have some creative attacks with her water powers. problem is, I ran out of room with this roster, and I already added in a new Zelda character, so maybe next time she'll have her chance.
Let me know what you think in the comments below! Do you agree with these characters and my ideas? Do you have other ideas or characters you want to see in Smash?

My Smash Bros 5 Predicted RosterIt may be waaayyyy too early to make something like this, considering that Super Smash Bros 4 was released only several months ago. But it's because of the Smash 4 craze that I am doing this in the first place. Like everyone else, I'm left wondering, "Who will be the next newcomers for Smash 5?" And after planning it and planning it in my head for so long, I've finally decided to condense all the characters I think should make it into Smash 5 into my own roster. I was considering drawing each character in a typical Smash Bros.-esque pose, but after I thought about it for a while, I realised that maybe that wasn't such a good idea. It would no doubt take a looong time if I did that, and you guys would probably be mad if I kept spamming your inboxes with this stuff. Also, I am a busy man, who wants to put more time and effort into my Golden Sky Hero ideas and also other fanart pictures. Y'know, unless you really want to see me draw each character individually and describe why they're goo
