Description
Found myself in a WarioWare sorta mood as of late and decided to draw one of the characters.
Here we got Spitz, one half of the cabbie duo from the WarioWare series. With his pal and partner Dribble, the two run Diamond Taxi (Fast! Furry!) to provide the best taxi service Diamond City has ever seen. Too bad they always seem to forget to pick up the tab... At least they can bank off of their microgames, which usually consists of Sci-Fi themes, their favourite genre (assuming their greedy CEO doesn't attempt to run off with all the royalties for the umpteenth time). Spitz himself is described as the calmer of the two, but both are generally very nice and do their job very well.
I've got a certain soft spot for Spitz. His Mega Party Game$ artwork was used as one of the avatars on NSider Forums and I used that as my sort of "main" avatar for a long time until Meowth eventually got included in NSider's selection. Not to mention, from their stage in Smooth Moves was the song Tomorrow Hill, which is beautiful in and of itself but also helped cheer me up during a very difficult period in my life. So I guess you can say that this character is sort of a bit of security if I feel depressed. He's special like that.
I wanted to do a drawing of him during some off time from both helping Dribble drive the cab and supervising his microgame development. I figured proper maintenance of your vehicle would be very important if your major profession relies on it, so he's just doing his part to make sure everything is coming out roses.
I had a lot of fun doing this. Drawing WarioWare images feels rather relaxing since the shapes and colours are so simple in design, making this a fairly quick piece. Quite happy with this one.
PS. I am particularly looking forward to their Game & Wario game. Don't they just spew awesomeness outta their lungs?

It's good to see you still practicing at honing in on your digital medium skill level abilities, and I think as mentioned above you're still getting there little by little. For being done fairly quick there is a bit of envy in me wishing that I had the skill to lay down the basic foundations for a drawing as quickly as you seem to master. I like the little areas of detail and shading going on, and the composition in itself is rather cute. Vibrant colors also help to make this stand out rather nicely, so mad props.
Keep it up dude.
