Papo Raptor Sketches

Some raptor sketchies I did practicing posing, expression and character design. I called him Papo after the company who does those dinosaur figurines. They are really great for sketching reference!

I wanted to work with a bit more realism here as usually but still have this cartoony touch. However I studied some raptor anatomy, but this is far from anatomically correct as I added in my own inputs there. I wanted to give him a strong anthropomorphic feeling even though only the hands and facial features are really humanoid.

Bay far the most difficult poses were the ones on the bottom left (perspective and [semi]frontview)

Thaz
