if they explained it with the idea that perhaps bramble slowly lost himself and morals over time it'd make sense, but i must admit it is STILL so jarring seeing the erins excuse his behavior. "oh, we didnt intend to write him like that" is perfectly fine, but if they'd stop backing it up with "he's not abusive" despite writing him be awful to squilf, i just dont know what they want us to think at this point. i love warriors, but their books really are hit or miss sometimes.
