When I re-designed Luigi a few months back, there were a few characters I put on my re-designing bucket list: Mario, Ganondorf, Wario, and maybe one or two others. However, I suspect that most would have seen this one coming after I announced that I wanted to re-design other Mario characters in Smash. Bowser in Smash is particularly... infamous.In my opinion, Bowser is the most poorly represented character in Smash Ultimate . FUNKY KONG SURFS UP! Gameplay Design: Funky is somewhat similar to DK mechanically, albeit sacrificing a bit of weight for increased speed. His attacks are generally more burst-y, making them very fast and very far-reaching, as well as giving him decent out-of-shield options. His main weakness, like his pal, is his disadvantage state, but compared to DK, it’s a bit more manageable. Attributes: -Around Bowser in ground speed and airspeed is slightly faster than DK’s. -Same weight as Ganondorf. -Fairly acrobatic, so he has a walljump. WARIO GOES FOR GOLD! Gameplay Design: Rather than being the awkward combo character he is now, Wario would now be a bruiser grappler superheavy, with decent speed and air physics, but poor out of shield and a rough disadvantage state. He would obviously hit very hard, and not struggle to take stocks at all. However, the reworking of the Wario Waft does hurt him a bit.
