Chapter 3
***Poseidon POV***
“Sir, did you want us to proceed?” Christos asked, sounding as though he had to repeat himself if his irritated tone was anything to go by. Normally I would not tolerate such a tone from a mere merman, but Christos being the general of my Atlantean army got a pass. While Atlantean’s aren’t immortal like us gods, they live for a good 400 years if lucky, which meant that I’d known Christos for the past 200 years or so. It’s not easy for a God to make friends who will genuinely treat them as friends. I am lucky to have such an incredible confidant and general in Christos.

***Sally POV***
My massive tray full of expensive entrees crashed to the floor creating the most embarrassing display of broken glass, forks & knives, and completely unusable food. Happy first shift at the Midnight Inn to me. I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised I’ve already messed up like this. I mean, every waiter has dropped food before, it’s a right of passage. But not every waiter can blame this on their lack of sleep from hanging out with Poseidon and a giant sea monster all night. Nope, That would probably be just me.
When I first woke up this morning I was honestly surprised I’d managed to get any sleep at all.
