Sonic Team wrote the story and Flynn just wrote the dialogue, like with Frontiers. 1: Sonic Forces Moment of Truth by Sonic Team: It does succeed in making the OC avatar of Forces sympathetic, if in a very easy way, by portraying him as realistically afraid to fight in a war, and feeling guilty about that fear. 2: We never saw him ring a bell as a look-out before. He does something other than use Wispons. 3: The opening narration is just narration instead of him actually monologuing to himself out loud, which would be confusing and tacky. 4: Vector says it’s time to earn his pay, so he is gonna get paid. 5: Realistically Charmy’s still in pain from being burned later. 6: The OC arms and fires a cannon to defeat Eggman’s airship. 7: Vector tells the Chaotix, " good job. 1: Issue 45 Trial by Fire, Part 1 by Evan Stanley: Sonic carries camping gear for Amy to bring it to her trunk. 2: Amy thanks Tails for letting her borrow camping gear. 3: She asks if there’s anything she could do to return the favor. 4: Sonic wants to go see some wild flowers. It surprisingly takes advantage of the fact that he’s supposed to love nature to contrast Robotnik. 5: Tails references that he plays video games with Sonic. 1: Issue 224 Drowned by Ed Reynolds: It’s a natural continuation of the SA1 arc right away as the heroes go to look for the sunken Floating Island in submarines. 2: It turns out the heroes had the good sense to put Robotnik in an asylum after he had tried to let Chaos destroy the world. 3: Naturally because the Floating Island has a force field, that field created an air bubble around it when it sank. It’s really nice to see a concept like Atlantinopolis, an underwater Angel Island, be used again. 4: Sonic’s worried about drowning, having hydrophobia. 5: Refreshingly, the heroes meet some actually good Drakons for once, some peaceful aquatic people that had been living on the bottom of the sea for millennia. The Drakon Empire was so long ago to them that it’s just a legend to them. It’s realistic that not all of them are evil.
