Director Ethan Coen has made a neat and exceptional comedy/thriller with fine characters, a fine story and neat effects when needed.
The story, beginning in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1999, follows two lesbian friends Jamie (Margaret Qualley) and Marian (Geraldine Viswanathan) as they travel to Tallahassee, Florida to visit Marian's Aunt Ellis (Connie Jackson). During their travel, Jamie and Marian discover a briefcase in the trunk of the car they rented from Curlie (Bill Camp), which The Chief (Colman Domingo) is trying to retrieve as the briefcase contain some goods, sending his two goons Flint (C.J. Wilson) and Arliss (Joey Slotnick) to go after the women to get the briefcase from the car. All the while, Jamie tries to get Marian to make love as she never had sex in years.
For being pretty short at 84 minutes from one half of the Coen
